e-breathe MPG 200 Mask Testing Device
The e-breathe MPG 200 mask testing device is a powerful and efficient system designed to test full-face masks for functionality and leak tightness. Utilizing advanced sensor technology combined with intelligent test software, the device delivers precise and reliable results—ensuring maximum safety in respiratory protection. Thanks to its compact design, the MPG 200 can be easily integrated into any respiratory protection workshop.
New Concept of the MPG 200 Series
The redesigned hardware and enhanced software of the MPG 200 series open up a wide range of new possibilities. All measurement and sensor technology has been consolidated into a separate unit, allowing different test heads—depending on manufacturer or application—to be connected flexibly.
The MPG 200 supports the simultaneous connection of two test heads. While testing is performed on test head 1, the next mask can already be prepared on test head 2. This significantly increases throughput and enables the use of various test head types from different suppliers.
Advanced Software Features
The software of the e-breathe MPG 200 has been extensively optimized and enhanced:
- Extended selection of predefined mask models
- Operation via touch display or keyboard
- Capture of spare parts and mask serial numbers using a barcode/QR code scanner
- New integrated database for storing and retrieving mask configurations, test reports, and used spare parts
- Automatic retrieval of existing mask data via serial number for faster and more precise maintenance
Extended Interfaces
New connection ports have been integrated into the MPG 200 housing:
- USB-Port
- LAN Port (for environments without Wi-Fi)
- HDMI output for connecting an external monitor
Users can automatically execute both standards-compliant and manufacturer-specific test procedures, as well as configure custom test programs individually. All parameters are fully adjustable. Test results are clearly displayed on the integrated touch display or on an external monitor and are automatically stored in the test report.
No additional PC or compressed air supply is required.
Available Test Procedures
Standard Test EN 136 / VFDB Guideline 0804
Negative pressure leak test: negative pressure of 10 mbar; passed if the pressure loss does not exceed 1 mbar within 1 minute.
User-Defined Test
Individual negative pressure test: adjustable negative pressure range, maximum allowable deviation, and test duration freely configurable.
Quick-Test
Negative Pressure Test with Reduced Test Duration: Negative pressure of −42.5 mbar; passed if the pressure deviation does not exceed −25.0 mbar within 8 seconds.
Breathing Air Hose Test
Positive pressure test: overpressure of 20 mbar in the breathing air hose; testing performed under water or using soapy solution to detect leaks.
Compatible Test Heads for the MPG 200 Mask Testing Device

Functions & Applications of the MPG 200 Mask Testing Device
Leak Tightness Test Procedure – Step by Step
- The mask air inlet is sealed airtight using an adapter.
- The mask is positioned on the test head.
- The required test program is started.
- The MPG generates the defined negative pressure and monitors pressure stability over the specified test duration.
- The result is clearly displayed (“passed” / “failed”).
Measured values and the pressure curve are shown in detail and documented in the test report. The data can be exported via Wi-Fi or USB flash drive.
