Treatment of industrial compressed air to provide breathable air
The e-breathe compressed air filter stations were developed for the treatment of technical compressed air. The high-performance filters contained in the respective stations separate solid particles, aerosols, oil vapours and odours from the compressed air flowing through and remove them. Depending on the application, a 2-stage or 3-stage filter system is used.
The compressed air flowing through from the high-pressure network/compressor is converted into breathing air for externally ventilated respiratory protection systems. The breathable air is then fed to the head section / suit of the wearer via a hose using a compressed air control valve.
The station can only be used if the compressed air from the system does not pose a risk of harmful concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO).

1) Durable Filter Station
Robust, stable, and long-lasting filter housing made of aluminum with a steel cover. A surrounding frame on the steel cover protects all components in case of impact or tipping.
2) Precision Pressure Regulator
Pressure regulator with manometer for precise adjustment of the outlet pressure from 0.5 up to 16 bar.
3) Compressed Air Connection
Easily accessible plugs and couplings allow for quick assembly and disassembly of compressed air hoses. Various breathing air safety plugs and safety couplings are available.
4) Filter Replacement
The filter housings can be unscrewed without tools, allowing for quick and easy replacement of the filter elements. Dismantling the housing is not required.
5) Wall Mounting
The DFS 2/3 can be mounted directly to the wall using the integrated rear bracket.

Compatible Compressed Air Regulators (EN 14594)
The e-breathe DFS is compatible with all compressed air-assisted respiratory protection systems in accordance with EN 14593 and EN 14594, provided that airflow and operating pressure are sufficient.
6) Wall Mounting
The 2WH and 3WH stations are equipped with a side-mounted bracket for permanent wall installation.
7) Differential Pressure Indicator / Filter Saturation
The first filter element is fitted with a differential pressure indicator, providing information on the optimal and most cost-efficient time for filter replacement. (Available as an optional feature for DFS 3/3WH PRO models).
8) Condensate Drain – Filters M/S
Condensate from the M and S filter elements is automatically discharged through a hose into a collection container (not included in the delivery).
9) Condensate Drain – Filter CA
Condensate from the activated carbon filter element (CA) is manually drained via a hand valve.
10) User
By default, the station is equipped with one breathing air safety coupling on the air outlet for a single user. Using the separately available e-breathe DFS Y-piece, the station can be expanded to supply two or up to a maximum of three users.
Modularity
The e-breathe DFS 2 / DFS 2WH stations can be upgraded to a 3-filter version at any time. The DFS 2WH and 3WH stations can also be retrofitted for mobile use.

Filter function
The M* / S* filter elements separate solids by impact and the inertia effect. Oil and water aerosols are removed by the coalescence effect. Due to the gravity effect, filtered liquid particles are collected in the lower filter container and are automatically discharged from there. The filter element CA* adsorbs oil vapours and odours which accumulate in the activated carbon.

Optimized Design for Maximum Flexibility
The station is equipped as standard with three filter elements (M / S / CA) but can also be operated with only two filter elements, depending on the application requirements.
An adjustable pressure regulator with manometer allows precise control of the outlet pressure. The integrated differential pressure gauge features a color-coded display that indicates the contamination level of the filters and signals the optimal time for cost-efficient filter replacement. The condensate from the M and S filter elements is discharged via hoses into a collection container that can be mounted on the station.
The air inlet is factory-sealed with a blind plug and can be customized by the user with a suitable connection for their specific compressed air supply. On the air outlet side, the station features a connection for one user, which can optionally be expanded – with appropriate accessories – to supply up to three users simultaneously.
The DFS series is available in five versions:
ATEX-Version – DFS 3 PRO EX
The new housing design of the DFS 3 PRO EX D2 series has been specially optimized for use in explosive environments. Both the filtration station and the filter housings are equipped with grounding connections to prevent spark generation caused by static discharge.
The filter housings of the DFS 3 PRO EX are immersion-coated inside and out, providing long-term corrosion protection, especially when exposed to aggressive condensates.
The grounded DFS 3 PRO EX compressed air filtration station, equipped with filters of the D2 series, is suitable for operation in Zone 2 / Zone 22 (potentially explosive atmospheres).
Note: Prior to use in ATEX environments, both the station and any connected accessories must always be checked for suitability and proper certification.
