e-breathe PAPR-SUITS
Overpressure protective suits

The new positive pressure protective suit range in partnership between Lakeland and e-breathe combines the expertise of two leading PPE manufacturers. The new PAPR protective clothing range consists of three positive pressure protective suits, manufactured from three different materials to meet the requirements for different purposes and operating conditions. The one-piece positive pressure respiratory suits provide the highest level of protection against gases, vapors, liquid chemicals, radioactive contamination, as well as solid and liquid aerosols, particulates and biological infectious agents. The suits are used in combination with an approved respiratory protection blower (e-breathe e-Flow with DIN round thread connection), which supplies the suit with breathable air under a constant positive pressure.

Product details:

e-breathe PAPR Suit ChemMax 3 Pro

CHEMMAX 3 Pro: CBRN Protection

The ChemMax 3 series suits are made of a multi-layer high-barrier film and provide protection against a broad range of toxic industrial chemicals, dual-use chemicals, chemical warfare agents, highly hazardous chemical splashes and aerosols, as well as infectious agents and health-threatening dusts.

The ChemMax 3 Pro is manufactured in a high-visibility orange color. The bright color ensures that the wearer can be easily identified even in poor lighting conditions, smoke, or dust – a decisive advantage when working in hazardous or low-visibility environments.

The suit comes standard with a rigid panoramic visor and an additional top visor. The extra viewing window in the upper head area ensures optimal light transmission inside the suit and significantly improves overall visibility, especially when working in bent or crawling positions.

ADVANTAGES OF A BLOWER-ASSISTED PROTECTIVE SUIT

Superior protection compared to protective suits:

Blower-assisted suits maintain positive pressure inside the suit allowing any air flow (through valves, zippers, or other design elements) to occur from the inside out, making the ingress of gases or vapors unlikely.

Superior comfort compared to coveralls and gas-tight suits:

Chemical protective suits are inherently uncomfortable to wear, but the internal respirator blower provides a constant, filtered airflow inside the suit. This gentle, continuous airflow helps regulate temperature, keeping the wearer cooler and increasing comfort.

Increased mobility and longer operating times:

The respirator worn on the back allows the user the greatest possible mobility. Compared to wearing a PAPR hood, the use of a PAPR full protective suit allows longer operating times with greater flexibility and consistent comfort.

Functions in detail

Optimal Design

The generously cut hood offers sufficient space for wearing helmets or communication systems. The generously cut crotch area ensures optimal freedom of movement and high wearing comfort.

The large visor offers a clear, distortion-free panoramic view with an extended downward field of vision.

Two visor variants available:
1.1 flexible film visor
1.2 rigid visor with additional roof visor

Roof Visor

Optionally, the suit can be equipped with an additional roof visor. The extra viewing window in the upper head area ensures optimal light transmission inside the suit and significantly improves visibility during work in bent or crawling positions.

Emergency Function with Emergency Breathing Hose

In the event of a blower failure or if the hazardous area cannot be exited in time, the wearer can use the front-mounted breathing hose with mouthpiece to manually inhale filtered air and safely leave the danger zone.

Various Glove Options

The tapered sleeves allow for a liquid-tight connection between the glove and the suit, which can be achieved either by sealing with tape or by using the e-breathe glove adapter system. Optionally, laminated film gloves can be permanently attached to the suit. These can be worn individually or as inner gloves beneath a robust outer glove when a higher mechanical protection class is required.
