e-breathe Mass Flow Meter E

e-breathe Mass Flow Meter
– Precise Real-Time Airflow Measurement

The e-breathe Mass Flow Meter is a high-precision digital flow measurement device designed to measure air flow rate (l/min), volume (l), and pressure (mbar) – with outstanding accuracy and exceptionally fast response times. Thanks to internal linearization and temperature compensation, it delivers reliable and precise measurement results.

Minimal Pressure Drop – Maximum Efficiency

With its exceptionally low pressure drop, the e-breathe Mass Flow Meter reduces back pressure in the flow circuit and minimizes its impact on the system. Power is conveniently supplied via a USB-C connection – making it ideal for mobile use with a laptop or power bank.

Functions & Applications

Volume Flow Test

The volume flow test enables verification of the proper operational capability of an air supply system. By measuring airflow performance in real time—including the instantaneous and average flow rate, as well as the total air volume in liters—it can be determined whether the minimum requirements specified by the manufacturer are met to ensure the necessary protection class, or whether recalibration is required.

The device features DIN round thread connectors for both air inlet and outlet, allowing for direct connection to compatible air sources with DIN-threaded fittings. For air sources with other types of connections, such as bayonet or click systems, suitable adapters are available separately.

Volume Flow Test Functions:
• Real-time measurement of airflow performance with display of current and average volume flow
• Calculation of total air volume generated (in liters)
• Verification of the air supply’s operational capability in accordance with manufacturer specifications

Leak Test

Specifically designed for powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR), the e-breathe Mass Flow Meter enables reliable system leak testing. To perform the test, the e-breathe Mass Flow Meter is connected to the hose port of the respirator blower unit, while the filter inlets are sealed using a blind plug and a test plug. If the digital test device displays an excessively high volume flow, this indicates a system leak—such as a housing defect or damaged seals—and the device should no longer be used.

Leak Test Functions:

• Detection of leaks and ingress of external air due to housing or seal defects
• Simple testing procedure by sealing the air inlet using an adapter
• Excessive volume flow as an indicator of a faulty or non-operational air source
