The e-breathe Lab Hood AV offers the wearer high wearing comfort and effective protection. It provides eye and face protection against liquid splashes, dust, and low-energy airborne particles. The full hood is made of a particle-tight, low-noise, and lint-free material, featuring an integrated eye shield and shoulder coverage. The seams of the hood are precisely welded for maximum durability and hygiene.

When connected to an air supply—either a powered air respirator unit or a compressed air regulator valve—a constant positive pressure is maintained inside the hood.
This allows the hood to function self-supporting and without any internal head suspension.

The positive pressure system ensures the highest protection class is achieved while keeping the airflow comfortable, preventing it from blowing directly into the wearer’s face. The air stream circulates smoothly along the inside of the large polycarbonate visor, ensuring clear vision at all times.

The head harness can be universally adjusted to fit any head size. The bib can be worn either inside or outside a protective suit. When worn inside the suit, the exhaled air contributes to temperature balance and improved comfort within the suit.

Furthermore, there is no time limitation for wearing the hood, and no G26 medical examination is required, since the hood imposes no breathing resistance on the user.

The use of respiratory hoods is recommended in all areas where no additional mechanical head or eye protection is required. The Lab Hood is available in three different material versions, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

1) Headband
External headband allows individual adjustment to any head size.

2) Forehead Band
Fixes the hood and shapes the visor. The soft headband provides a high wearing comfort.

3) Hood Material
The hood is made of a low-noise, robust, crease- and lint-free material. The cover can be easily and quickly put on and is available as Limited-Use and Reusable Version.

4) Polycarbonate Visor
Comes flat, without unwanted creases and without reflection. Ergonomically shaped for a 320° distortion-free all-round view.

5) Exhalation Valve with Speech Membrane
The exhalation valve ensures direct discharge of the exhaled air and, thanks to the speech membrane, ensures good communication and a clear speech connection. The intelligently designed exhalation valve avoids heavy breathing resistance and allows a direct use of the hood without a G26 medical check-up.

7) Airflow
The airflow runs inside the hood on the inside of the PC visor. This prevents permanent fogging of the screen and prevents the user from feeling any unpleasant draught in the neck.

8) Quick-Lock Hose Connection
The breathing air hose is securely attached using the new Quick-Lock system on the adapter of the hood.

10) Shoulder cover
The shoulder cover can be worn inside or outside the protective suit. When worn inside, excess air is directed into the suit and aids heat regulation.

11) Neck Seal
The textile neck seal with elastic band ensures that the laboratory hood fits perfectly around the neck. It is therefore ideal for people who wear beards and glasses.

Limited-use hoods can be used multiple times and are ideal for applications requiring frequent replacement of the headpiece, where cleaning or disinfection would not be economical.

The Premium reusable version is made from a durable, water-repellent material suitable for multiple uses.
The hood can be cleaned and disinfected, providing a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution.

The Chemical Hood is made from a low-noise, robust, crease-resistant, antistatic, and chemical-resistant material. It has been specifically designed for work environments with increased hazard potential, such as handling hazardous or toxic substances.
