e-breathe Chemical Suits
Positive Pressure Protective Suits for Maximum Chemical and Contamination Protection
The e-breathe Chemical Suit range is available in two different material variants to meet the requirements of a wide variety of applications and operational environments.
These one-piece positive pressure protective suits provide outstanding protection against gases, vapours, liquid chemicals, radioactive contamination, as well as solid and liquid aerosols and airborne particles. The suits are designed for use with an approved powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) or a compressed air regulating valve. Each model is available in two configurations: an Inside version with an internal PAPR or an Outside version with an external air supply.

Product Overview e-breathe Chemical Suits
The visor provides the wearer with a large, distortion-free field of vision. A continuous airflow inside the hood prevents the visor from fogging.
The adjustable, air-permeable neck seal ensures sufficient airflow within the hood. Excess air is directed into the body section of the suit to provide effective cooling and a comfortable internal climate.
Allows the suit to be removed quickly in emergency situations or in the event of an unexpected loss of air supply.
Horizontal front entry with a double self-adhesive zipper cover for reliable protection.
The e-breathe glove adapter system allows the use of a wide variety of protective gloves. Using the Protect Clip adapter, virtually any glove can be connected to the suit with a completely liquid-tight seal.
The integrated socks are worn inside safety boots or shoes. The external boot flap is worn over the boot to prevent liquids from entering the footwear.
Upon request, the suit can be supplied with a durable, slip-resistant sole instead of a boot flap. This configuration allows safety footwear to be worn inside the integrated socks.
The air supply (powered air-purifying respirator or compressed air regulating valve) is worn outside the suit and delivers breathable air to the suit through a breathing hose at an airflow rate of 160–300 l/min.
The powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) is worn inside the suit and supplies breathable air through a breathing hose at airflow rates of 160–200 l/min. A display window integrated into the suit provides continuous information on the filter status, remaining operating time, and current airflow rate.
The flexible breathing air hose is securely connected above the hood using the simple and reliable e-breathe Quick-Connect System.
Inside the suit, the flexible breathing air hose can be positioned either above the hood or directly in front of the wearer’s mouth. An optional interchangeable mouthpiece can be attached to the hose for emergency situations.
Two valves in the head area and two in the leg area regulate the internal suit pressure, ensuring low CO₂ concentrations while preventing uncomfortable pressure fluctuations. This design also provides unrestricted freedom of movement. Additional splash covers made from the suit material provide enhanced protection.
The suit can be removed by the wearer without assistance (although this is not recommended). For rapid removal, the rear section of the suit can also be cut open.

Product Description e-breathe Chemical Suits
Inside Version: Internal Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
In the Inside version, the powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) is worn inside the suit, while only the filters remain outside. This configuration minimizes contamination of the blower unit. The approved PAPR delivers a continuous, adjustable airflow of 160, 180, or 200 l/min through the breathing hose into the integrated hood’s air distribution channel, ensuring a reliable supply of breathable air to the wearer. Exhaled air is discharged through four exhalation valves integrated into the suit.
Equipped with a panoramic visor, integrated socks with a boot flap, and tapered sleeves, the suit offers a high level of safety and operational flexibility. The integrated socks with boot flap are designed for use with a wide range of safety boots. The tapered sleeves allow a completely liquid-tight connection between the gloves and the suit, either by sealing with chemical-resistant tape or by using the e-breathe Glove Adapter System.
Maximum Comfort
The suit features an ergonomic Y-cut design that provides the wearer with maximum freedom of movement. This innovative design allows the wearer to reach inside the suit at any time—for example, to drink—while also enabling safe and easy doffing without coming into contact with the contaminated outer surface of the suit. The air-permeable neck seal ensures optimum airflow within the hood while directing excess air into the body section of the suit, providing indirect cooling and improved internal air circulation for enhanced wearer comfort.
The grey Tessaform material is manufactured from a high-quality, specially developed laminate. Its exceptional chemical resistance and outstanding mechanical durability make the suit suitable for a wide range of demanding applications. The laminate provides protection against chemical warfare agents, including substances such as sarin and mustard gas.
The white Puntiform material is low-noise, durable, crease-resistant, and lint-free while offering excellent chemical resistance and mechanical strength. The material is air- and water vapour-permeable (breathable), helping to reduce the risk of heat stress inside the suit and enhance wearer comfort. When required, the suit is also available in a sterile version equipped with a product protection exhalation valve. Thanks to its material properties, the suit is suitable for a wide range of applications across various industries.
For training and exercise purposes, a dedicated training version with a hook-and-loop fastener on the zipper cover flap is available. This version is intended exclusively for training and instructional use. It is available in various colours and material options to clearly distinguish training suits from operational protective suits.
